Beth began working at ECSP in 2019, when her youngest son attended preschool. She started as the Elementary Librarian while also substituting in both the Elementary and Preschools. The following year she had a three-year-old class and was devastated when the year was cut short by the pandemic. She spent a year at home with her two young boys while navigating online learning, and is thrilled to be back in a three-year-old class again!
Beth loves letting children explore the world around them through books, open-ended play opportunities and outdoor exploration. You will often find her class outside examining the natural world. One of Beth’s favorite parts of preschool is the sensory bin – she is amazed by the creativity of children when they are provided with simple materials.
Beth and her husband, Jason, both grew up in Fluvanna and are now raising their two boys here. They are active at Beaver Dam Baptist Church where they serve as deacons, Sunday School teachers and in the Children’s Ministry. As a family they enjoy spending time hiking, biking and watching soccer games. Beth keeps herself sane in a house full of boys with her paints, garden and books.
