Second and Third Graders love “Scoot”!

Our class loves to play Scoot. This week we used our weekly vocabulary words to play. Each student has a task card on his/her desk and then everyone “scoots” around the room, completing the task on each card. What a fun, interactive way to review!

Preschool Feast

grateful for our Feast Much to be thankful for On Tuesday, November 20, ECSP Preschool classes gathered for their yearly Thanksgiving Feast.  It was an awesome event with lots of great fellowship. We had 35 students in attendance, and some were able to bring their family members.  The little’s got to show off all their hard work on any recent Thanksgiving crafts they had made.  They also got to tell their family members and teachers what they were grateful for…

See You Later, Ms. Susan!

Many of the Upper Elementary students have known Ms. Susan since they were little.  She has played a big part in their lives at Effort.  We will miss her and look forward to her visits.

What’s the Matter in Root Beer Floats?

Second and Third grade students investigated the three common states of matter using a root beer float. In addition to being able to identify a solid, liquid, and gas, students were also able to observe how matter changes through melting. Tasting them was a bonus. Yum!

Body Systems in First Grade!

Mrs. Hanson’s first grade class learned about the body.  We did many activities to learn about our respiratory, circular, digestive, and skeletal systems.  We created a skeleton and labeled the names of each bone!  Did you know your finger bones are called phalanges?!
