Preschool Staff

Connie teaches a K4 class, and has worked at Effort Christian School and Preschool for 7 years. She holds a certificate in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont Virginia Community College.  Connie loves Jesus and finds great joy in sharing the love of Jesus with the children at ECSP.

BethAnn teaches a K4 class and has many years of preschool teaching experience. She loves spending time with children and fills her classroom with music each day.

Carla joined our team in 2015 and currently teaches K4. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Brandi Kennedy Preschool Teacher Ms. Brandi is a Fluvanna County native.  She is married to her husband, Brad, and has two children, Jay, and Morgan.  Her and her husband are owners of two local county businesses.  Ms. Brandi was both school and preschool teacher at Open Door Christian School located in Troy.  She has been teaching for nine years. Shelby teaches a 3-year-old class at ECSP. She has over 35 years experience working with children, and is just the right fit for our precious little ones. She loves to sing and do arts and crafts with her class.

Becky teaches our youngest students at ECSP in the 2.5-year-old class. She loves to incorporate messy crafts and nature themed activities in her lesson plans.

Mrs. Billie Tubbs Position K-3 Teacher Education: BS in Psychology, Virginia Tech  Early Child Development Associate Degree, John Tyler Community College This is Ms. Billie’s 20th year teaching preschool with 16 years teaching Pre-K and 3 years teaching Three Year Olds.  Ms. Billie likes to introduce beginning math and alphabet concepts in her lessons, and loves to incorporate songs and process art in her students’ busy days. Nicole Dickman Credentials Student at J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College Nicole began at Effort in February of 2018 as an After Care Instructor. She became a Teacher’s Assistant for Ms. Patty during the summer program.  Nicole graduated from FCHS in May of 2018 and she is currently attending J. Sargeant Reynolds studying Horticulture. Beth Sharpe Preschool 3 YEAR OLD TEACHER Beth began working at Effort last year as the Elementary Librarian and was also able to substitute in the Preschool and Elementary Schools. This year, Ms. Beth is in a three year old class. She likes to incorporate messy art projects, music and sensory bins into her classroom.
